Additional languages added for student experience: Simplified Chinese, Portuguese, Somali, & Vietnamese

Students using any of Sown To Grow's check-in modules can now dynamically translate their experience into Chinese (simplified), Portuguese, Somali, and Vietnamese, in addition to Spanish, which was previously available for translation.

When students select their preferred language from a dropdown menu in the top right of their student portal, text in Sown To Grow will dynamically update to that preferred language. This includes all platform navigation text, as well as the weekly prompts and emoji options. Prompts that are already manually translated or include the prompt in English and another language will remain unaffected by the dynamic translation. The name of the module as well as teacher responses will remain untranslated, so as not to lose any important context or impede the ability of teachers to provide whole class instructions for navigating the platform.

Additionally, read aloud options will be provided for each translated language where read-aloud language integrations are available. Currently Somali and Vietnamese are not supported for read-aloud translation. We are always working to improve the experience in our platform and hope that these language additions increase accessibility for your students.
