The teacher classroom portal now features two new reporting & insights views to help teachers better understand well-being for students in their classroom(s).

On the classroom homepage, teachers will now see a card/button labeled "Insights" as well as a navigation nab with the same label. Using either option, teachers can click in and view a student well-being dashboard.

Teachers can use the card or tab labeled "Insights" to view classroom well-being reporting

The dashboard features a dial meter showing the current average emotional well-being level of students in their classroom (the average of the emojis students have selected over the last 30 days), as well as a line graph showing how that average emotional well-being level has changed over the course of the school year. It also shows the total number of reflections for the year in their classroom, the teacher's read rate for classroom reflections, as well as the teacher response rate to reflections.

Real-time and Year-to-date classroom well-being insights

Below that teachers will find two curated lists. The first one shows students with consecutive sad or awful emoji selections over the last 45 days, to indicate students with persistent feelings of sadness who may need additional support. The second list shows students who have not checked in on Sown To Grow recently, who teachers may want to personally encourage to check in. These insights are intended to give teachers an easier way to understand how their class is doing as a whole and where they may want to prioritize support.

Additionally, teachers will now be able to view classroom insights for students who have completed the pre and/or post SEL assessment. Previously, teachers could only see individual student results for the SEL assessment. Now, under the surveys section of the teacher classroom portal, there is an insights tab that shows a bar graph of average SEL assessment results for students in their classroom for each of the 6 Sown To Grow competency areas.

Classroom-level insights for the SEL assessment

Scrolling down, teachers can also see more granular detail of average student self-assessment results for each indicator statement. Finally, teachers will also get a list for each SEL competency area (Sense of Belonging, Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Responsible Decision-Making, and Relationship Skills) for the students who self-assessed low in that competency area. These results can help teachers understand which SEL areas they may want to put more focus on as a class, as well as identify students that may need additional support in different SEL areas.
