Enhanced district reporting & insights portal

The district admin experience now features a refreshed insights experience to help leaders better understand and support implementation fidelity and student well-being across their schools. The new district admin portal is now organized into five tabs: 1) Implementation Status, 2) Students, 3) Teachers, 4) Surveys, & 5) Deeper Insights.

The Implementation Status tab provides an overview of the implementation status journey that schools go through and a breakdown of the distribution of district schools along this journey over time. This enables district admin to quickly see the current level of fidelity of implementation at different sites and trends in how that distribution has changed throughout the year, so that they can provide district level support as necessary. Admin can also see more granular insights into the factors that impact implementation status category for a school site--including reflection response rate, alert addressed rate, and school admin login rate--for each school to help inform the type of support, incentives, or coaching the district may determine appropriate.

On the Students tab, district admin can see the number of students rostered in their district, the number of active students engaged with Sown To Grow this year, and the number of reflections written year to date. Admin can also see the current average emotion level for students across the whole district, and broken down by school. Further insights offer student engagement and alert data by school for the the district. This data helps leaders quickly see the impact of student engagement with Sown To Grow.

The Teachers tab shows insights on the number of teachers engaged and responses written thus far for a school year, as well as reflection read and response rates. District admin can see how reflection read and response rates have changed throughout the school year, and the breakdown of these rates by school in the district. This data helps district leaders monitor and support for fidelity of implementation.

The Surveys tab in the district admin portal still highlights the average of student self assessment scores for different SEL competency areas and for individual indicator statements, but it now also features insights for survey completion data, to help district leaders understand which schools are contributing the the district SEL averages, and provide guidance for increasing survey completion rates across the district.

Finally, the Deeper Insights tab offers rich new insights to help district admin better understand the content of student check-ins & reflections in Sown To Grow. Deeper Insights is organized into three sub-tabs: 1) Alerts, 2) Emotional Distribution, & 3) Reflections. Alerts highlights the total alerts (and breakdown of addresses vs non addressed alerts) received each month, and how the alert rate (number of alerts over total number of reflections) compares to alert volume benchmarks across other Sown To Grow districts. This tab also provides district admin with up to 15 examples from their district of the most recent reflections that triggered alerts across the district, allowing district leaders to better understand student well-being and needs in their district.

On the Emotional Distribution tab, district leaders can see the distribution of student emotions reported in their check-ins, broken out over time by month. The dashboard features a view for all students in the district, as well as the emotional distribution of students who expressed a low sense of belonging at school on their SEL assessment at the beginning of the year.

Finally, the Reflections tab offers district leaders insight into the content coming up in student reflections. Admin can see a bar chart highlighting the different themes students are reflection on and which themes come up most frequently (themes include school, family & friends, mental health, physical health, etc.). Additional bar charts below show how those themes are distributed across different school types (elementary, middle, & high), as well as the breakdown if those themes are coming up associated with a positive, neutral, or negative emoji check-in by students.

Together, these different dashboards give district admin a more holistic look at the well-being, SEL development, and implementation usage across their district, so that they can support school growth and student well-being.
