We've improved teacher response suggestions to make them more relevant to each student's reflection. These updated response suggestions are only available for the Weekly Emotional Check-In module.

Sown To Grow uses technology to understand how deeply students are thinking and how personally they are sharing in their reflections. Based on this understanding, teachers are provided with response suggestions designed to help acknowledge what students are sharing, affirm their feelings, and authentically engage with them. This update improves how suggestions are generated so they better reflect the context of each student's reflection, leading to more relevant starting points for teacher responses.
Several suggestions are provided for each reflection, recognizing that different responses may feel more appropriate depending on the context of the reflection and your relationship with the student. Teachers are encouraged to personalize and build upon these suggestions to support student growth and strengthen meaningful connections.
Response suggestions are available for all Weekly Emotional Check-In reflections, except for Alerts and those that are temporarily in review after being flagged as potentially concerning. For reflections where a student may be especially vulnerable, we strongly encourage teachers to personalize their response. While suggestions can provide a helpful starting point, a thoughtful, individualized response can foster deeper student-teacher connection during these important moments.
