New read aloud feature for student reflection prompts

Students using Sown To Grow's weekly emotional check-in and SEL check-in modules will now have the ability to have their check in prompts read aloud to them each week. To the left of each prompt in the student check-in experience, students will now see a green audio/speaker icon. When they click on the icon, our system will read aloud the prompt. To turn the read-aloud feature off, students can simply click on the audio/speaker icon again.

Currently, prompts can also be read aloud in Spanish if the student has that selected as their language of preference. As Sown To Grow adds more language translation options in the future, the read-aloud feature will automatically work with each new language.

Sown To Grow added this feature to increase accessibility for students who need additional support participating in our weekly check-in experience. We hope that this new feature enables our younger learners, newcomer scholars, and all students to feel seen, supported, and able to learn at their best!
